We all had the chance to see LeBron James playing in a Los Angeles Lakers uniform during his preseason debut against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night. Now we will finally get to see James don the purple and gold before a raucous Lakers crowd in Los Angeles when they take on the Nuggets in the Staples Center on Tuesday night.
“It's a new beginning, a new start, it's a new excitement for myself,” James said to Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
This will be the first of many times LeBron will come out to play for the Staples Center crowd. It's unclear just how much the fans will get to see from LeBron as Lakers head coach Luke Walton usually keeps things close to the chest with starting lineups and possible minutes distribution. When asked about how much the fans would get to see LeBron, Walton told McMenamin:

Walton is leaving this one almost as open-ended as he can, but expect LeBron to see similar minutes as he did on Sunday. James played 15 minutes while tallying nine points, three rebounds, and three assists. This preseason is especially important for James. He's still getting used to playing with a brand new group. How fast they can develop chemistry will be crucial to their season.
A slow start could spell trouble in the deep Western Conference. Obviously, the expectation is that the Lakers will make the playoffs, but getting off to a hot start could be vital.
