Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James has been a recipient of major accolades on and off the court throughout his NBA career. However, the latest one might not be to his liking.
During the 42nd Razzie Award nominations on Monday, LeBron received not one but two nominations for his “Space Jam 2” film. The Razzie Awards–formerly called the Golden Raspberry Awards–is a parody award show “honoring” (or basically trolling) underachieving films.
As CNN reported, the nominations are made by 1128 members from 49 US states and over two dozen countries. The votes are all cast online, with the top five in the nine categories being “hailed” as finalists. The awarding will be on March 26, a day before the Oscars.
Unfortunately for LeBron, he has been nominated for the “Worst Actor” category. The Lakers superstar also landed on the “Worst Screen Couple” category alongside “any Warner cartoon character.” Ouch!

“Space Jam 2” is not the most well-loved sports movie of 2021, and for a number of reasons. However, considering it is a show made for kids and kids at heart, getting into the Razzie Awards might be a little too much. Not to mention that the Lakers leader is not really an actor–though his haters who consistently argue about flopping would say otherwise.
Regardless of the circumstances, LeBron James' nomination in the 2022 Razzies was the perfect opportunity for NBA twitter to roast the NBA icon, and a lot of people had a field day trolling the 38-year-old.
Here are some of the most hilarious reactions on Twitter:

Your hero the dreaded LeBron James had earned 2 razzie nominees for Worst Actor, which I agreed he wasn’t that special & worst screen couple with LeBron & the looney tunes. 🤷♂️ https://t.co/XW86sTvx0M
