LeBron James is the latest superstar to play for the Los Angeles Lakers, effectively filling the void left by Kobe Bryant. James is filling more than just that superstar void; he's also taking Kobe's old stall in a newly renovated Staples Center locker room. Kobe stans will be furious.

The correlation between James and Bryant is obvious. Both are among the greatest players to ever play in the NBA and their careers overlapped for a long period of time. They were constantly compared while they were both playing and now that LeBron is a Laker, they will be forever linked.

Much like Kobe, Lebron will be the leading man on the roster. James is surrounded by a diverse roster. They have the youth movement including Lonzo Ball, Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, and Josh Hart while also having a healthy mix of veterans. Michael Beasley, Lance Stephenson, Rajon Rondo, and JaVale McGee all followed LeBron to Los Angeles in hopes of something great.

This eclectic combination of youth and grizzled veterans should make for an interesting locker room dynamic — a dynamic that will always feature LeBron front and center.

James will make his long-awaited debut as a Laker at the Staples Center on Tuesday night.
