When news broke out that LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers won't come back to finish their Christmas day game against the Golden State Warriors, NBA fans collectively held their breath. After all, apart from his superior basketball IQ, James is known for his superhuman durability and stamina.

Seeing him go down and leaving the game is a rare sight to see. But LeBron James himself is not too worried about injuries, even this most recent one which saw him gasping in pain.

Per Ben Golliver of the Washington Post, James admitted that he's never concerned about injuries. He pointed out that he was able to walk off without any help — which is always a good sign. He even gave an update as to whether or not he can play in the Lakers' next game:

“With me and injuries, I'm never too concerned. I was able to walk off under my own power. I don't know [if i can play Thursday versus Kings]. We will see what the MRI says.”

Initial reports reveal that the groin strain isn't that serious. But as James mentioned, the MRI will give a clearer picture of how grave the injury is. Whether he misses a game or two, or even more, it would be interesting to see how the young core will operate without him. Just like on Christmas, veteran guard Rajon Rondo may have to step up. The Lakers will visit the Kings on Thursday then they'll be back in Staples Center against the L.A. Clippers on Friday.
