It looks like the Lakers are just giving LeBron and Rondo a rest day since both players have a lot of mileage on their bodies. Los Angeles is still mathematically in the playoff chase, although Monday's loss to the Clippers sort of felt like the Lakers' season ended.

Since returning from his left groin injury, James hasn't looked good on defense. The four-time MVP is still putting up good numbers, but his lack of effort has been evident when you watch the tape. Many believe LeBron still isn't at 100 percent.

The Lakers are 30-34 on the season, which is 10th place in the Western Conference standings. They are five and a half games back of the San Antonio Spurs for the eighth and final playoff spot. LeBron is still the best player in the world, but it looks like it will take a miracle for LA to make it to the postseason.
