After a highly successful inaugural school year, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James' I Promise School is now embarking on its second year. LeBron himself sent out a very inspirational message on his Twitter account as he wished the entire school some luck on the eve of the first day of the new school year:

James was praised for his noble effort to set up a school last year in his native hometown of Akron, Ohio. Obviously, this was no publicity stunt, and LeBron is fully committed to the cause. As for James and his basketball, however, his first season with the Lakers was anything but memorable. Nevertheless, Los Angeles has made some big moves this summer and is looking forward to a bounce-back campaign.

The addition of former New Orleans Pelicans cornerstone superstar Anthony Davis to the lineup pairs two of the top superstars in the game today on one team. James was obviously desperate for some help last season, and the front office has heeded his call.

Admittedly, the Lakers did fall a bit behind when they failed to sign Kawhi Leonard, but still, this offseason can be considered a win for the Purple & Gold as they enter the new season as a much more formidable side.
