After the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Boston Celtics by a score of 129-128, their president of basketball operations Magic Johnson went to Twitter to praise his team. He especially had praise for his backup point guard Rajon Rondo, who hit the game-winning shot.

On Thursday, LeBron James. Kentavious Caldwell Pope, and Kyle Kuzma each had five hits from beyond the arc. Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson had three treys too. They shot 22-of-41 from three overall, hitting at an insanely efficient 53.7 percent from deep.
Article Continues BelowThere would be seven players in double digits for the Lakers on Thursday.. James led the team with 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists for yet again triple-double. Kuzma scored 25 points and grabbed five rebounds. Caldwell-Pope, Rondo, and JaVale McGee each had 17 as well.
Three starters and six total players scored in double-digits for the Celtics. Kyrie Irving had 24 points with seven rebounds and eight assists. Jayson Tatum had an excellent game, scoring 22 points, grabbing 10 rebounds, and giving out five assists. Daniel Theis had 20 points off the bench. Terry Rozier scored 18 and dished out six assists, and Jaylen Brown added 18 points as well.
The Lakers are now 28-27 on the season. They currently sit in the 10th seed of the NBA's Western Conference. They will face off next against the Philadelphia 76ers at the Wells Fargo Center. The 76ers just have traded for Tobias Harris from the Los Angeles Clippers, and they'll be trying out their new superteam as well featuring Tobias Harris, Jimmy Butler, Joel Embiid, and Ben Simmons.
