Rondo finished with six assists, to go along with his three points and five rebounds in the loss to Utah. He's averaging 7.7 assists for the season. But fans won't be able to see ‘playoff Rondo' simply because Los Angeles didn't make it this year. Rondo has avoided controversies this season. Instead, he focused on helping the team win games. He's also been a reliable presence in the locker room, and he has received nothing but positive remarks from his teammates.
There is no guarantee that Rondo will be back with the Lakers next season, as the purple and gold's primary targets will be the marquee free agents. However, they have also made it clear that they will be willing to trade their young core in order to acquire top-tier talent.
