Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma has definitely taken huge strides to become a more complete player in his fourth season in the league. Against the Charlotte Hornets on Thursday, Kuz displayed what a willing passer he has become, electing to forego an easy bucket for an even better look for his trailing teammate LeBron James.

Turning defense into a quick offense, the reigning champs stripped the ball off Hornets guard Terry Rozier and converted it to a fastbreak opportunity. Kuzma caught the long pass from Wesley Matthews and appeared he was ready to finish above the defense of LaMelo Ball.

The 6-foot-8 forward changed his mind in the last second, dropping the ball mid-spin to LeBron for the two-handed tomahawk. The Hornets rookie knew what's coming and just got out of the way of the James poster.

Here's the brilliant heads-up play from Kuz to Bron that stretch the Lakers' lead before halftime.

Kyle Kuzma has been labeled as a selfish player in his early years, so it's nice to see him proving his naysayers wrong with plays like this one. The Flint-Michigan native has become a better rebounder and defender for the reigning champions this season and looks like he's even making improvements on the playmaking department.
