Boston Celtics big man Enes Kanter recently made headlines after he went on an all-out attack on Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James and his alleged ties to China. Unsurprisingly, Kanter has United States Senator Ted Cruz backing him up as the outspoken Republican also went on an unfiltered tirade against LeBron.
Cruz did not hold back with his allegations as he accused James of being a Chinese puppet:
.@ClayTravis Serious Q: how much $$ is enough?@KingJames has made hundreds of millions of $$.
But he still wants more, so much that he is TERRIFIED to say anything negative about the evil communist dictators in China.
@EnesKanter is showing more courage than the entire @NBA https://t.co/modvjLAvru

Ted Cruz has a bit of history with the Lakers star and this isn't the first time he's attacked LeBron and his political views. James has already responded to Kanter's barb, but it remains to be seen if he's going to be giving the senator the time of day here.
The Lakers star took out a bit of his pent-up emotion on Sunday night as the Lakers took on the Detroit Pistons. James appears to have swung an intentional elbow towards the Pistons' Isaiah Stewart who sustained a huge cut over his right eye. Things got ugly and it nearly led to a brawl between the two teams. LeBron was whistled for a flagrant 2 and got ejected from the contest.
It looks like all the negativity is catching up to James, especially considering how there has been a lot of noise surrounding the Lakers' struggles early in the season.
