Los Angeles Lakers star Anthony Davis sustained an eye injury during Tuesday's matchup against the Memphis Grizzlies, which resulted in the big man playing with a red eye for the remainder of the contest.

The folks over on Twitter took notice of Davis' injury, as well as how the 27-year-old still dominated the Grizzlies despite virtually playing with just one eye.

Here are some of the best reactions from the mean streets of Twitter:

Anthony Davis had to put on some protective eyewear during the game, and for one Twitter user, he suggested that the Lakers star consider making it a permanent part of his gameday ensemble:

Despite the eye injury, Davis still managed 34 minutes on Tuesday, finishing with 26 points on 10-of-20 shooting, to go along with 10 boards, four assists, three steals, and three blocks in another stellar performance.

Thanks to Davis' heroics, the Lakers escaped with a narrow victory over the Grizzlies, 94-92. LeBron James wasn't too bad himself, logging 26 points, 11 rebounds and seven dimes.

Tuesday's win lifted L.A. to 6-2 on the season, as they log their fourth consecutive win. The Lakers will be back in action on Thursday as they take on a back-to-back set against the San Antonio Spurs and the Chicago Bulls.

It remains to be seen if Davis will be forced to miss action because of his most recent injury, but given how the Purple and Gold have had a knack of giving their stars an occasional night off, it wouldn't be surprising if AD ends up sitting out one of those games.
