Every time the Los Angeles Lakers look like they're going to turn things around, they lose another game, which just proves how dysfunctional this team is right now. There has been no consistency within the squad for pretty much the entire season and at this point, it looks like LeBron James and Co. are on the brink of a major change in their game plan.

According to Dave McMenamin of ESPN, the Lakers coaching staff are now seriously considering switching tactics at this point in the season:

The Lakers’ 13-12 start to the season has already caused [Frank] Vogel’s job to be questioned. They’ve cycled through 12 different starting lineups in those 25 games, the second most in the league, behind the Philadelphia 76ers. The injuries and inconsistency have led the coaching staff to put everything on the table and ponder whether they have to change their high-paced plan on the fly, sources told ESPN.

This does not come as a complete surprise considering how the Lakers have struggled mightily in the first quarter of the campaign. It is clear that changes need to be implemented and it looks like this will come in a major way.

The Lakers are in action on Friday in a matchup against the Oklahoma City Thunder. LA will need to win this one after losing two out of their first three games in December.
