Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers is now adding a step back 3-pointer to his offensive arsenal.

Per the Lakers Empire, peep a workout clip below featuring Davis and his new offensive weapon:

Over the years, Davis has steadily added a reliable 3-point shot to his game. Last season, he shot 33.1 percent from deep. In the year before, he shot 34 percent and the year prior, Davis shot 29.9 percent.

With the Lakers, he's expected to run pick-and-roll or pick-and-pop plays with LeBron James. As such, Lakers fans can expect tons of alley-oops with Davis finishing at the rim. And since James attracts lots of attention on defense, we can expect Davis to be wide open on 3-pointers.

But given the clip above, will Davis get free rein on offense? Will he have the liberty of lulling his defender to sleep and surprise him with a dreaded step-back 3-pointer, which, given Davis' size, is almost impossible to contest?

From the looks of it, as well as the prediction of various analysts, Davis will not simply be the second option of the team. Like the James' championship teams with the Miami Heat and the Cleveland Cavaliers, he'll likely share scoring chores with another Davis. Besides, James' age may turn into a liability if he handles all the tasks for the Lakers.

Davis will have a bigger responsibility moving forward.
