Draymond Green has been complementary of Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James even before the two became linked by their sports agency, Klutch Sports. The Golden State Warriors forward sung his last bit of praise for James, calling his career “flawless” and soon after giving a ringing endorsement for the highest seat in office.

Green endorsed James' civil activism for his recent campaign: “More than a vote,” which will inspire change in underrepresented groups and communities:

“As a competitor, I enjoy playing against him, just like I enjoy playing against the best. But what he's done off the court and the initiatives that he's been able to lead — and this [initiative] is just another example of that,” said Green about the Lakers star. “I have the utmost respect for him and hopefully he runs for president one day.”

Not many NBA players would be qualified to run for office, but the Lakers star has been highly active in his community during the latter part of his career, using his voice and his deep pockets to help promote change.

Not only has James ponied up enough money for scholarships, backpacks, and other academic supplies, he's also fed the hungry during the outbreak of the coronavirus and even erected his own I Promise School to provide children with opportunities, laced with a fully-paid college tuition.

James has put his money where his mouth is, repeatedly, and helped spark change in impoverished neighborhood, giving a voice to the underrepresented, and plenty of reasons to view him as a civil activist at the end of his playing career.

If the Lakers superstar does run for office someday, it's more than likely that Green and other NBA players will vote to support his cause.
