Los Angeles Lakers forward Kyle Kuzma had jokes for teammate Anthony Davis on Monday.

Kuzma took to Instagram to show his followers the new ride Davis purchased in the aftermath of winning a title and signing a massive deal.

The former first-round pick joked these glow-ups happen after players win championships, adding AD is “acting different.” The two shared a laugh:

Of course, Davis has reason to feel different after winning his first title and signing a five-year, $190 million max deal with the Lakers earlier this month.

As for Kuzma? Well, it remains to be seen whether he will receive his own deal.

Los Angeles has until Dec. 21 to offer Kuzma a rookie extension. But with just one week to go, the two sides could be at an impasse.

Kuzma merely said “We'll see” when asked if an extension was coming down the pipe. Meanwhile, Lakers general manager Rob Pelinka said last month the team would discuss an extension “when the time is right” for them:

Of course, there is hardly any time left.

Should the Lakers fail to sign Kuzma to an extension, he will become a restricted free agent next summer. This might not be a bad thing, as far as Kuz is concerned.

The 25-year-old struggled to settle into a new role with Davis joining the team and Lakers head coach Frank Vogel going to a different starting rotation last season.

However, Kuzma should have the opportunity to show his value with L.A. needing him to supply wing contributions, thus possibly bolstering his future market.

In any event, Kuzma himself could eventually be riding in style, much like Davis.
