Magic Johnson is one of the all-time greats of the Los Angeles Lakers, which is the only franchise he played for in his illustrious 13-year career. The five-time NBA champion lives and breathes purple and gold and has shown his support to the team up to this day.

Appearing in an interview for Spectrum Sportsnet, the 57-year-old discussed how he felt while watching the team struggle over the past three seasons and missing the playoffs over that span. He also explained why he did not choose to be a stakeholder of other NBA teams even if he had the chance to do it before.

His desire to help the city of Los Angeles was also seen in his business decisions in the past after being a part owner of the Lakers, the MLB's Dodgers and the WNBA's Sparks and has been one of the most influential figures the NBA has ever produced. The 6-foot-9 point guard may not be the only hall-of-famer the team has had, but he is definitely one of the most vocal who speak about their love for the franchise.
