Trailing by nine with less than five minutes left in the court, Ingram got the ball and immediately drove to the basket. Cavaliers big man Tristan Thompson however, was ready for the collision course with the youngster.
But Ingram didn't hesitate. He wanted to finish the play and send a message to Thompson, which he did by posterizing the Cavs veteran.
Unfortunately, the Lakers couldn't come back from a slow start, allowing the Cavaliers to come away victorious.
The Lakers are trying to hang on to the eighth spot in the Western Conference while waiting for superstar LeBron James to return from a groin injury that sidelined him for a total of nine games already.

Brandon Ingram, together with the other members of the Lakers' heralded young core has been struggling to win since the absence of James. They also lost veteran playmaker Rajon Rondo to a hand injury, his second of the season.
Both James and Rondo aren't expected to return anytime soon, and by the time that they do, it could be too late for the Lakers.
The Cavaliers improve to 9-35.
