Dallas Mavericks rookie Dennis Smith Jr.'s dribbling exhibition in front of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry won't make the top handles of the year list, but it will surely have its internet fame. The Mavs point guard may have missed the shot attempt, but the manner in which Smith eluded Curry warrants everyone's attention.

During their Thursday night matchup, Smith showed off one of the qualities that enamored the Mavs on draft night to bet their future on the electrifying guard.

Curry had no chance against the flurry of dribble moves that Smith pulled off in front of him. Luckily for the Warriors star, Smith missed the shot but got a foul on Curry instead.

A little over a month ago, Smith had another moment where he owned Curry off the dribble. It seems that this is one habit that Mavs fans would love for their rookie to do more often.

Unfortunately for Dallas, the defending champions were simply in another level, winning the contest 121-103. Curry had a quietly-efficient night with 20 points on 7-of-12 shooting to go along with seven rebounds and eight assists. The win distanced the Warriors further, but not safely, away from the Houston Rockets who have been on a roll of late.

The Mavs, on the other hand, were led by Smith's 22 points, three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. The high-flying rookie will grace the All-Star Weekend when he competes in the Slam Dunk Contest and Rising Stars Challenge.

He's one of the top candidates to win Rookie of the Year in a class that is deemed as among the deepest in recent years.
