After seeing the Memphis Grizzlies lose by 13 points to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 1 of their playoff series, Desmond Bane wants his team to more than just bounce back. He needs his teammates to get grimy.

If there is one thing the Grizzlies probably realized after Game 1, it's the fact that they can't be complacent even if it's just the first round and they come into the game as the higher seed. It is all back to zero in the playoffs, and while records and seedings matter, it's not everything. With that said, Bane challenged Ja Morant, Jaren Jackson Jr. and the rest of the team to play with more hustle and physicality if they want to win the series.

“We are going to have to get grimy to win a playoff series,” Bane said, per Drew Hill of the Daily Memphian.

Desmond Bane couldn't have said it any better. While their offense is suspect in the loss, especially after making just seven of their 27 attempts from deep, their defense is equally to blame. They were unable to stop Anthony Edwards who exploded for 36 points, seemingly afraid to guard him because of his insane athleticism and ability to put the ball in the basket.

However, the Grizzlies can't let the Timberwolves have their way on the offense. That is truly a recipe for disaster.

Fortunately, it's just Game 1 and the Grizzlies still have plenty of opportunities to turn things around.
