Memphis Grizzlies power forward Jaren Jackson Jr. is only 20 years old. He's used to being active and outside all the time.

That's why the coronavirus pandemic is hitting the Grizzlies youngster pretty hard.

The NBA suspended the season on Wednesday after Utah Jazz starting big man Rudy Gobert tested positive for the coronavirus.

Thursday brought even more bad news for the NBA family as Jazz All-Star shooting guard Donovan Mitchell has the virus as well.

Jackson hasn't played in an NBA game since Feb. 21. He's been out of the Grizzlies lineup because of a knee injury. The coronavirus suspension came at a terrible time for Jackson and the Grizzlies. Jackson was scheduled to return to action next week.

JJJ is averaging 16.9 points, 4.7 rebounds and 1.6 blocks per contest on the season for the Grizzlies. He's also shooting close to 40 percent from beyond the arc on 6.3 attempts per game. His combination of size, range and athleticism have made him the perfect complement to rookie point guard Ja Morant. It just sucks that we might not get to see the two youngsters play basketball anymore this season.
