Despite losing their final chance at making the playoffs, Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry still made sure to show his respect and appreciation to Memphis Grizzlies youngster Ja Morant.

After the game, which saw the Grizzlies upset the mighty Warriors 117-112, Curry and Morant shared a hug. However, it can be seen in Steph's face his frustration and disappointment to the result of the contest–with his head covered in towel.

Of course, Stephen Curry's pain is understandable. The Warriors were expected to claim the eighth seed in the West, after all. While they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers for the battle for seventh seed, the performance they showed raised hopes that they would be able to dominate against the Grizzlies and clinch that final postseason spot.

Unfortunately, Ja Morant and the Grizzlies had other plans. Dillon Brooks played really well and was phenomenal in anchoring the defense on Curry throughout the contest–making him work for every shot.

Morant, for his part, fired the dagger that sealed the win for Memphis over Golden State. With less than 15 second on the clock and the Grizzlies ahead 112-109, the second-year guard took his time before attacking the rim and launching a floater to seal the W.

It was a painful defeat, but Curry and the Warriors were not sore losers–not even one bit. While it would have been fine had they walked out and headed to the locker room, they did not and instead showed the Grizzlies some much-deserved respect.
