After another setback to his hope of playing basketball once again at the highest level, Miami heat forward Chris Bosh is not ready to give up his career just yet.

The 32-year-old took his preseason physical last week with the hopes of getting cleared to join the team's training camp, but failed it due complications from blood clots. After seeing his last two seasons cut short because of the same health concern, it appears he will not even be able to play at the start of the 2016-2017 campaign at the very least.

Despite this, the 11-time all-star took to Twitter and shared a video where he gave a statement about his journey of getting back to playing in the NBA. In the 1:36 clip, Bosh was full of optimism and has this to say:

“So, just because the journey has ups and downs doesn’t mean that I will stop sharing with you guys. So I will just continue to share, despite what’s going on.

“Little setbacks happen, but that doesn’t change my intentions and what I want accomplish. So, I hope you continue to watch. I hope you continue to really just take in my journey and just come along with me, with the ups and the downs. So it’s a down moment right now, but everything’s going to be all right.”

The former fourth-overall pick in the 2003 draft is continuing his medication of blood thinners which can be out of his system within 8 hours, just in time for start of games. Should he eventually be cleared to play once again, it will be the first of its kind in the NBA and definitely one of the biggest comebacks for any professional athlete.

The South Beach faithful, together with Bosh's family and friends, are all rooting for his success to make a successful return. With a new-look Heat squad, he'll be the veteran leader and mentor the team badly needs to help them make a successful run this coming season.
