The Miami Heat has once again turned on the heat as we approach the business end of the season, with their 150-129 victory over the Washington Wizards their sixth straight win. However, there is very little doubt that Heat fans will remember the day not for the win, but for Bam Adebayo’s mammoth 83-point performance.

Adebayo produced the second-highest points total ever recorded in the NBA behind Wilt Chamberlain, marginally exceeding Kobe Bryant’s 81-point performance. And well, the 28-year-old had for the first time his girlfriend and WNBA star A'ja Wilson in attendance.

“To have 83 the first game she's here is special. The behind the scenes, workouts, convos, they're very motivating. You see what she does. You get inspired every day by that. Thankful to have her in my life,” he said per a post on X by ClutchPoints.

Wilson, who is a three-time WNBA champion and four-time MVP, has been in a relationship with Adebayo since 2021. However, it was the first time she actually attended a Heat game, which evidently spurred her partner on.

Adebayo was dominant throughout and had a whopping 43 shots in the game, converting 20. He went 7-22 from beyond the arc and converted 36 of his 43 free throws in what seem to be numbers from, well, multiple games.

He also produced almost a double-double, finishing with nine rebounds, three assists and two steals and blocks apiece alongside his 83 points. The Heat continue their upward surge and are now 37-29 for the season.

They will take on the Milwaukee Bucks next, even if Adebayo and his teammates may take their time to celebrate the performance.
