On Wednesday morning, the Miami Heat officially announced that they have signed forward Emanuel Terry to a 10-day contract. Details of Terry's deal were not released, per team policy.

Terry, now 23 years of age, played four years of collegiate ball at Lincoln Memorial University, where he earned Division II All-American honors in 2018. In 31 senior season games (all starts), he averaged 16.9 points on 71.1 percent shooting from the field, 10.3 rebounds and 2.2 blocks in 27.6 minutes.

Though he was undrafted in 2018, Terry has quite a bit of experience in the G-League. The Alabama native has served successful stints with the Canton Charge (Cleveland Cavaliers affiliate) and Sioux Falls Skyforce (Miami Heat). He played in 20 games for Canton, averaging 8.1 points and 6.4 rebounds.

Sioux Falls acquired Emanuel Terry in a trade with the Charge earlier this season. He appeared in nine games with the Skyforce (eight starts), averaging 16.4 points on 58.4 percent shooting, 9.2 rebounds, 1.9 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.1 blocks in 30.7 minutes per contest.

Terry signed a 10-day deal with Phoenix earlier this season. He played in just two games with the Suns, scoring nine points, six boards, three steals and one assist in 20 minutes of action.

The Heat (26-30 and 2nd in the Southeast Division standings) will be back in action on Thursday, when they'll travel to Philadelphia for a matchup against the Sixers. Tip-off inside the Wells Fargo Center is set for 7:00 p.m. ET.
