The Oklahoma City Thunder may have a tough situation on their hands with superstar point guard Russell Westbrook. There have been rumblings that he might want a trade following Paul George's departure. Couple that with the reports that the Miami Heat love the idea of acquiring Westbrook and things could get interesting really soon.
Former NBA player Quentin Richardson is 100 percent on the Westbrook-to-Miami train. He took to Twitter to say that he thinks Westbrook should request a trade to Miami to team up with Jimmy Butler.
If I’m R. Westbrook I’m having my agent get in the phone with the Miami Heat and figure this thing out!! Russ & J Buckets, lets figure things out from there.

Miami would be an intriguing landing spot for Westbrook. They have some pieces that could intrigue the Thunder, but would have to unload Goran Dragic and make some cap space to make any deal work. Josh Richardson was already shipped to Philadelphia in the sign-and-trade for Butler.

Westbrook and Butler would make the Heat a serious contender in the East. They would have their hands full with superstar duos in the East like Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in Brooklyn and Kemba Walker and Jayson Tatum in Boston. That being said, the East is wide open and Miami would be a team to watch.
Last season with the Thunder, Westbrook averaged 22.9 points, 11.1 assists, and 10.7 rebounds per game. He shot just 42.8 percent from the floor overall and 29.0 percent from the three-point line.
A change of scenery could be exactly what Westbrook needs. He has put everything he has into Oklahoma City, but sometimes moving on is best for both parties.
With Oklahoma City seemingly going into a rebuild, trading Westbrook might be the best outcome for both parties. Miami is a team to keep an eye on in trade discussions.
