After their duel on Thursday, Goran Dragic of the Miami Heat and Luka Doncic of the Dallas Mavericks met at center court to swap jerseys. The Slovenians also had a quick chat before going their separate ways.

Per NBA TV, Dragic shared what he told the Dallas Mavericks rookie — who, as it turned out, was his roommate back when they were teammates on Slovenia's national team.

“I told him keep up the hard work, you’re an unbelievable talent.”

In the 105-99 Heat win, Dragic notched a triple-double: 23 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists. Teammate Dion Waiters chipped in 17 points and center Bam Adebayo had a double-double, 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Luka Doncic dropped 19 points, eight rebounds, and seven assists on Miami. He was also 3-of-9 from 3-point country. Forward Justin Jackson logged 14 points while Dirk Nowitzki and Jalen Bronson had 13 points apiece for Dallas.

The win brings the Heat's record to 37-38, good for eighth place in the Eastern Conference. The Heat need to play their best basketball in the last few games to secure a playoff spot. Trailing them are the Orlando Magic, just half a game behind.

The Mavericks, meanwhile, are already out of playoff contention. Despite this, everyone in the NBA knows that their future is in good hands. Next season, not only will basketball fans get a new and improved Doncic, but they will also see Kristaps Porzingis back in action.
