Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo is a back-to-back MVP and one of the more polarizing figures in the NBA. Sure, he's not LeBron James, but most people usually know who The Greek Freak is. Well, apparently not everyone.

On the eve of the NBA Finals, Giannis rolled into his Phoenix hotel with a minor issue: he lost his hotel key. While the front desk worker was nothing but friendly, she had absolutely no clue who Giannis Antetokounmpo was, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick:

Yet here he was on the eve of his first Finals, his stunning return against the Phoenix Suns quietly in the works, facing an obstacle of a very different kind as midnight neared: He had lost his room key. But the friendly front desk lady who helped him, and who had to stare straight up through the plexiglass to ask this masked man for his name, clearly didn’t know this 6-foot-11 guest from the next one. So when Giannis Antetokounmpo gave his alias — a common practice among famous people who want to protect their personal space — she was confused as to why he couldn’t provide some form of ID as proof.

It was an innocent misunderstanding, one that was quickly corrected by a hotel co-worker who saw the situation unfolding from nearby and intervened to explain the Greek Freak in the room that was being missed.

“This is Giannis,” he said with a sense of astonishment before assisting with the process.

Antetokounmpo, the two-time MVP whose days of going unnoticed by the masses have long since left him, patiently smiled through it all before eventually retreating to his room.

The Suns are in the NBA Finals and you don't even know the best player on their opponent?! Foolish. Nah, jokes aside, it's understandable. While Giannis Antetokounmpo is quite popular, people who don't really follow sports wouldn't typically know who he is.

The Greek Freak is incredibly humble and lowkey with his fame anyway. Coming from the streets of Greece to NBA stardom, the Bucks star doesn't take any moment for granted on the unimaginable journey he has embarked on.

As for now, Giannis Antetokounmpo will be worried about getting back home and grabbing a couple of wins as the Bucks look to get back in this series after two straight losses in the desert.

Maybe if he returns back to Phoenix for Game 5, she will remember him this time.
