Milwaukee Bucks point guard Jrue Holiday has been up and down with his shooting in these playoffs, but he usually finds a way to impact the game no matter what. Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo has consistently stood by Holiday, and his faith was rewarded with an absolutely epic performance in Game 5 of the 2021 NBA Finals against the Phoenix Suns.
Holiday put up 27 points, 13 assists, four rebounds and three assists in the 123-119 victory. The Bucks guard also came up with the big steal of Devin Booker in the final minute, leading to the amazing alley-oop to Giannis that stunned Suns fans.
The Bucks star opened up about Holiday's impact after the game and explained why he trusts him so much. Via Eric Nehm of The Athletic:

Like, it’s a lot, you know. But we trust him that he can do that.”
The Bucks forward continued:
“The great thing about Jrue is that he can affect the game in a lot of ways. He can have an off night, but he can defend. Like Game 4, he didn’t have his best offensive night, but he was so good defensively…I love being teammates with him and I hope moving forward we can be teammates for a lot of years.”
Holiday shot 4-of-20 in Game 4 but did a hell of a job shutting down Chris Paul. In Game 5, the Bucks guard had his offense going as well, shooting 12-of-20 from the field as part of his outstanding all-around performance.
The Bucks traded a ton for Holiday last offseason. While his offense hasn't always been there, he always lays it all on the line, and his play is a big reason why Milwaukee is one win away from an NBA title
