Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was remorseful for his actions on Sunday, as he entered the bowels of the Chesapeake Energy Arena at halftime infuriated with his performance thus far. The reigning MVP kicked a hole into an Oklahoma City Thunder sign, which soon made headlines shortly after.

The Bucks trailed by six at halftime, largely due to costly turnovers by Antetokounmpo and the rest of his team. Following a narrow 121-119 win over the Thunder, the Bucks star was contrite and apologetic.

“There's no excuse for that,” said Antetokounmpo. “Obviously, I’ll try to pay for the sign or I can trade you guys with a Bucks sign when you guys come to Milwaukee, but there’s no excuse for that.”

“Obviously playing basketball there's a lot of frustration, a lot of emotions and moments like that happen.”

This is a whole other side of Antetokounmpo's competitiveness that fans haven't seen, but The Greek Freak was not happy with his team losing to a feisty Oklahoma City side, and took his anger on the nearest sign he could find.

There's the possibility that the league reviews this incident and fines Antetokounmpo for his actions, though a suspension seems unlikely for something that didn't involve another player, coach, or official.

Antetokounmpo finished with 35 points, 16 rebounds, three assists, a steal, and a block — redirecting his frustration in a huge third quarter that put the Bucks back in the driver's seat.

The reigning MVP is now one-upping his numbers from last season, averaging 29.7 points, 14.3 rebounds, 6.8 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.6 blocks through 10 games this season.
