Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo will wear a unique pair of shoes from Nike for Milwaukee's Christmas Day matchup against the Philadelphia 76ers.
According to ESPN's Eric Woodyard, The Greek Freak will lace up in Nike's Zoom Freak 1 “Soul Glo,” which features a “Coming to America” theme:
Here is a classic scene from Eddie Murphy’s Coming to America movie in 1988 where they show the Soul Glo commercial that’s featured on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s new kicks. Murphy is also working on a Coming to America 2 that’s slated to release in 2020. https://t.co/LbU9TyF79U

The fact that Giannis continues to wear shoes that hark back to Eddie Murphy's popular film is fitting. Antetokounmpo was born in Greece to Nigerian parents. After playing successfully for Filathlitikos in Athens, he declared himself eligible for the 2013 NBA Draft, where he was selected with the 15th overall pick by the Bucks.
Antetokounmpo is enjoying a fantastic season with the Bucks, who are currently holding a league-best 27-4 overall record. He has made 30 appearances with the team in this campaign, racking up averages of 31.0 points on 56.6 percent shooting from the field (34.2 percent from beyond the arc), 12.9 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 1.2 blocks in 31.1 minutes per outing. Giannis is currently sixth in rebounds, and his 31 points per game are second only to James Harden, who is averaging 38.8 points per contest.

“Gonna play fast, shoot a lot of 3s,” Antetokounmpo said. “They have one of the best big men in the league in Joel Embiid, so he'll get a lot of touches in the paint. We just gotta show bodies, play for one another and play together. Hopefully, we can get a win.”
Wednesday's game between the Bucks and Sixers is scheduled to tip inside the Wells Fargo Center at 2:30 p.m. ET, with ABC having live broadcast coverage. Milwaukee will be looking to extend a three-game winning streak.
