There's been an endless amount of fanfare surrounding the relationship between Phoenix Suns' Devin Booker and Los Angeles Lakers icon Kobe Bryant.
Everyone knows about the 2-word challenge that the Lakers star issued DBook, the same one he got tattooed on his arm:
“Be Legendary.”
But he's not the only superstar in the NBA Finals that received a challenge from the Mamba. Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo got not one, but two challenges from Kobe Bryant.
The Lakers star issued one to Giannis way back in 2017 – win MVP. Not only did the Bucks star do just that, but he doubled up on the request with two MVP awards for good measure.

After Giannis handily finished the job, Kobe Bryant gave him another one to chew on. Kobe dared him to reach for the Larry O'Brien trophy, just as he himself had done five times over with the Lakers.

Now Giannis Antetokounmpo stands one win away from completing Kobe's final challenge to him. The Bucks head back to Milwaukee for Game 6 and the title on the line. It's amazing to see how Kobe Bryant still resonates in our game even after he's gone. The Lakers icon has clearly left his imprint on the stars now carrying the torch.
