The Miami Heat escaped with a 116-114 Game 2 victory on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Bucks, which for most folks, came in a rather contentious manner. One such individual is ESPN's Stephen A. Smith, who has blasted game official Marc Davis for what Smith deems to be a “disgraceful” call by the referee at the end of the game on a shot attempt by Jimmy Butler.
Smith took to Twitter to call out Davis for his alleged error that literally cost the Bucks the game:
That is absolutely, positively, a shameful call by Marc Davis. How can you make that ticky-taco call in that situation! I picked the @MiamiHEAT to win this series, but to make that call in a time game with 0:00 on the clock is disgraceful. @Bucks should’ve walked off before FT’s

Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo was called for a foul on Butler as the latter went up for a contested jumper with no time remaining on the clock. The game was tied at that point, which allowed Jimmy Butler to win the game for Miami on the line by sinking both of his free-throws.

This was Miami's game to lose, with the team up by a significant margin with less than a minute remaining in the game. They allowed the Bucks to storm back, and had it not been for the controversial Giannis foul, this game would have gone to overtime.
Milwaukee is now faced with quite a challenge in front of them. They are now down in a deep 2-0 hole against a relentless Miami side. Teams have come back from this type of deficit in the past, though, so this is certainly still within reach for the Bucks.
