Typically, NBA players are bombarded with trade rumors surrounding their name and blindsided by their respective agents when they are alerted of a confirmed trade. Depending on the situation, having your entire life uprooted to play for another team can bear considerable amounts of stress, especially if the player loved the team.
For ex-Chicago Bulls powerhouse Jimmy Butler, he found himself playing cards, Spades to be exact, with Carmelo Anthony, Dwyane Wade, and Gabrielle Union (D-Wade's wife for those who don't know) when he found out he was traded to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Renowned Minnesota radio voice Alan Horton has more on the situation.

Believe it or not, superstars like these players still have some casual fun with card games. Maybe players use games and distractions during this time of year when their team situation could be completely flipped on its head.
Luckily for Butler, he seems perfectly fine with the trade, as he will reunite with his old coach Tom Thibodeau. The move is certainly much further up north, meaning he will have to adjust to even colder winters than the Windy City, but Butler seems ready to take the challenge head on.
The Timberwolves are definitely excited to it the ground running fast once Butler fully integrates himself into the program.
