Free agent Pau Gasol has not picked a team yet, but some teams still want to lure him in. These teams include the Minnesota Timberwolves, Portland Trail Blazers and the San Antonio Spurs.

The veteran big man met with the Timberwolves for a long talk on Friday, possibly reuniting him and former head coach of the Chicago Bulls, Tom Thibodeau. Thibodeau has been trying to bring former Bulls players such as Joakim Noah and Luol Deng to Minnesota, but they are now off the market. The Timberwolves have lots of young talent that need further development, and Pau could help. He can bolster better offense and defense for the team, being a nice all-around player. But the T-Wolves have not made the playoffs since 2004.

The Spurs and Trail Blazers have interest in Gasol, and they could both offer him a chance to compete at a higher level. The Spurs are on the hunt for Kevin Durant, and they are trying to get him to sign, but Minnesota and Portland have more money to commit to Gasol.

Pau Gasol was drafted 3rd overall by the Atlanta Hawks, but was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies. He played for the Grizzlies form 2001-2008, where he was the Rookie of the Year in 2002, and became the Grizzlies all-time leading scorer. He was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2008, and played there until 2014, where he won 2 consecutive championships in 2009 and 2010. He left the Lakers in 2014 and played for the Chicago Bulls for 2 seasons. He averaged 16.5 points, 11 rebounds, 4.1 assists, and 2 blocks with the Bulls this season.
