Minnesota Timberwolves star Anthony Edwards was on a Boardroom interview with Rick Kleiman and was asked about if his goal is to be the face of the entire NBA after achieving other accolades such as being an All-Star. Before answering the initial question, Edwards would point out that the selection to the All-Star game doesn't count for him since he was a reserve.
“That All-Star Game [selection] didn’t count. Somebody got hurt and then they picked me, I was the fallback guy,” Edwards said. “It was terrible, that was all bad. I don’t even like when people call me an All-Star cause I really didn't make it.”

Edwards got the All-Star nod last season after there was injuries to the likes of Stephen Curry and Zion Williamson in the Western Conference. That season, Edwards averaged 24.6 points, 5.8 rebounds, and 4.4 assists per game.
When it comes to the current season, Edwards should be on his way to start the NBA All-Star game this time as he's been scoring 26.2 points, collecting 5.9 rebounds, and reeling in five assists per game. He's been looking like a superstar which has resulted in the Timberwolves having an excellent start to the season. However, Edwards has missed the last two games with a hip injury.
At the moment, Minnesota is up at the top of the Western Conference at first place with a 15-4 record. Edwards and the Timberwolves are on a four-game winning streak, looking to make it five straight as their next contest is tomorrow against the San Antonio Spurs.
