The Minnesota Timberwolves continue to seek out a trade for Jimmy Butler, and after days of talks with the Miami Heat, it appears that, at least for now, the Wolves are eyeing Tobias Harris and the LA Clippers.
According to Chris Haynes of Yahoo Sports, the Timberwolves and Clippers have had discussions on a Jimmy Butler trade. Haynes reports that the Wolves are asking for a package involving Harris and other pieces, but the Clippers absolutely do not plan to trade Harris.

In any deal with the Clippers, Minnesota would prefer to acquire forward Tobias Harris, sources said. Various trade packages have been proposed on both sides, but the Clippers do not intend to trade Harris, sources said.
Butler put in his trade request the weekend before training camp was set to begin. In that time, the Wolves have been unable to find a suitable trade parter, mostly because they're asking for a lot in return as well as holding out hope that they (mainly Tom Thibodeau) can convince Butler to return to the team.
In his likely lone season with the Wolves in 2017-18, Butler averaged 22.2 points, 5.3 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 2.0 steals per game on 47.4 percent shooting from the field and 35 percent from beyond the arc.
