Minnesota Timberwolves point guard Derrick Rose returned to practice on Sunday and is questionable to play against the LA Clippers on Monday.
Derrick Rose is dealing with soreness in his right ankle. The former MVP has missed the previous three games and 13 out of the last 20 games.
Injury update: Ryan Saunders said Tyus Jones wasn’t able to take contact today. Said Teague came out well from Friday night. Still need to see where he is. Rose practiced, they need to see where he’s at tomorrow while Covington did some shooting drills.

In 39 games this season for the Timberwolves, Rose is averaging 18.3 points, 2.8 rebounds and 4.7 assists. The 30-year-old Chicago native is shooting 47.8 percent from the field, 41.1 percent from beyond the arc and 85.4 percent from the free-throw line.
Minnesota is 25-30 on the season and in the 12th spot in the Western Conference standings. The Timberwolves are currently on a four-game losing streak and in danger of falling too far back of the Clippers for the eighth and final playoff spot in the wild West. Minnesota is five games behind the Clippers.
Rose is the second-leading scorer on Minnesota, trailing only All-Star big man Karl-Anthony Towns. The Timberwolves are very banged up right now, as Jeff Teague, Rose, Jerryd Bayless and Tyus Jones are all dealing with some type of ailment.
Usually when Rose is listed as questionable, he ends up not playing. The coaching staff will likely see how D-Rose responds to the Sunday practice before making a decision on him for Monday.
