Minnesota Timberwolves star Karl-Anthony Towns has had enough of people's excuses when it comes to avoiding COVID-19 vaccines.

Towns took to Twitter on Tuesday to air his opinion on the matter, doing so with much enthusiasm.

“Every day I see a new excuse why people ain’t getting the vaccine. Ya starting to get creative with these “reasons” though and it’s actually really funny.”

To recall, Towns lost his mother and other family members due to COVID-19, so one must understand where he's coming from on this one. The Timberwolves center went further on the subject, saying:

“It never matters to people until it happens to them.” The Timberwolves star said. “I hope no one has to deal with what I’ve had to and still continue to deal with.”

Since the pandemic began, people's lives have changed. Loved ones were lost. The unemployment rate spiked. Healthcare systems became exhausted. The vaccines are considered as game-changers in the fight against the virus, but a total team effort is necessary if communities hope to achieve herd immunity.

Masks are still part of everyday life. Vaccinations are still ongoing. The risk of losing every bit of progress gained since the pandemic started is still looming.

Like several others, the Timberwolves big man wants everyone to commit to stopping the wave of positive cases. Vaccines have become a polarizing topic to some, but it's difficult to deny hard evidence from the science itself juxtaposed to conspiracy theories from different social media outlets or bogus sites.

Expect more action from Karl-Anthony Towns and the Timberwolves as they aim to influence people to get vaccinated.
