The fun continues for the rampaging Minnesota Timberwolves. Jeff Teague and Jimmy Butler both showed how loose and relaxed they are in the past few days. Now, it's the team's man in the middle, Karl-Anthony Towns, who's flashing a well-deserved, easy-going vibe.

The 22-year-old wore a Stranger Things-themed kicks during Friday night's game against the visiting New York Knicks, and if you're thinking, “A shoe inspired by a horror-drama series starred on by kids is not good enough to wear,” think again.

SB Nation got a good look of Towns' specially-made pair of Nikes:

Whether you are a fan of the design or not, we could be seeing Towns wear those kicks again. The pair had a good debut, and it kept the team's great stretch going. The Timberwolves' star big man flirted with a triple-double, posting 23 points, 15 rebounds, and nine assists in their 118-108 victory over the Knicks. It was his 35th double-double of the season.

Towns probably got extra motivation after Timberwolves head coach Tom Thibodeau praised the Knicks' defense prior to the match-up. With his aggressive play on both ends of the floor, they pulled away by outscoring the Knickerbockers, 24-6, in the first five minutes of the all-important fourth quarter.

The 28-16 Wolves have now won their last seven games at home, and 11 — yes, 11 — of their last 14 games, all while winning by 19.4 points in their last five victories. They are fourth in the Western Conference and slowly creeping up behind the San Antonio Spurs for the third spot. Towns is averaging 21.2 points, 15.6 boards, and 4.0 dimes in his last five contests.
