The Minnesota Timberwolves will reportedly interview Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Darvin Ham for their head coaching job, according to Jon Krawczynski of The Athletic.

New Timberwolves president of basketball operations Gersson Rosas hasn't ruled out making interim coach Ryan Sanders the full time head coach, but he's doing his due diligence around the league first.

Ham played 417 games in the NBA from 1996-2005. He was part of the 2004 Detroit Pistons team which won the NBA title over the Los Angeles Lakers.

The Timberwolves' 2018-19 season was a nightmare. The team was never able to recover from the Jimmy Butler trade drama. Minnesota eventually fired Tom Thibodeau in January only to be replaced by Saunders, who went 17-25 after taking over Thibs.

Karl-Anthony Towns is the best player on the Timberwolves. He's established himself as one of the top centers in the NBA. After Towns, though, Minnesota's roster is shaky at best.

Small forward Andrew Wiggins hasn't lived up to the hype of being a No. 1 overall pick and arguably has one of the worst contracts in the NBA. He'll make a whopping $27 million next season.

Robert Covington is a sound wing player for the Timberwolves and Derrick Rose had a resurgent season with Minnesota this year. Rose, however, is an unrestricted free agent and could look to sign with a contender since he'll be 31 this season, while Covington is coming off knee surgery.

One thing is certain: Whether it's Saunders or someone else, whoever becomes the head coach of the Timberwolves will have their hands full.
