The team released an update of their Saturday injury report with Karl-Anthony Towns listed as questionable due to a finger injury. The tweet states that KAT is dealing with a right index finger sprain.

This could be a huge deal for the Timberwolves if Philadelphia's star center Joel Embiid is activated. He has missed the Sixers last nine games, leaving a seven foot tall hole in their starting lineup. Embiid was put on the Reserve/COVID-19 list after testing positive for COVID-19 on November 8.

KAT has been a huge offensive contributor and leader for the Timberwolves this season. Starting in all 19 games this season, he has averaged 22.8 points, 3.5 assists, and nine rebounds per game. In their loss against the 13-8 Hornets on Friday, Towns led the Timberwolves in points with 25 and assists with six.

Although both KAT and Embiid are questionable for the matchup in Philadelphia, their presence on the court could be electric if they both play. This would be the first time this season that Towns and Embiid would go head to head.

Regardless of whether or not the two centers play, it should be a relatively close game. The Timberwolves will attempt to get their record above water, or at least reach the surface. They are just below 0.500 at 9-10. The Sixers look to keep their 10-9 record above 0.500.
