Despite all the drama surrounding disgruntled star Jimmy Butler, Minnesota Timberwolves head coach and president Tom Thibodeau is apparently keeping a calm and collected demeanor through all this.

Wolves veteran Taj Gibson is a firsthand witness to Thibodeau's rather surprising attitude towards this mess, and shared his observations about his coach to Nick Friedell of ESPN.

“He's been doing a good job of maintaining and doing the right things for the guys that are here,” Gibson said. “Tonight it was a testament to that. He was sitting down the whole game. Not really yelling at all. And he cracked a couple jokes with the refs so it was a good night.”

As it turns out, Gibson was not the only one who observed a noticeable change in Thibodeau, as other members of the organization have also been witness to the new and improved Thibs.

Timberwolves staffers have noticed a calmer Thibodeau in recent days as trade talks continue to heat up. The fiery coach is noticeably slimmer heading into the season and has shown a much calmer demeanor than in years passed.

It appears Thibodeau knows something we don't. Perhaps the Wolves already have a deal in place to ship out Butler and are just waiting for the most opportune time to strike. The All-Star has no shortage of suitors, so it is possible that the Wolves have already taken their pick from the bunch.

Then again, maybe Thibodeau has just gotten really, really good at perception management.
