On Sunday night, Minnesota Timberwolves superstar Karl-Anthony Towns gave a game official the scare of his life. Towns caught the referee off-guard as the seven-foot big man approached the charity stripe to take his free throw, and what followed is easily the funniest moment of the entire evening.

The referee appeared to be so focused on something else that he completely forgot that Towns was about to take a free throw. The poor ref definitely did not expect Towns to be so close to him, so when he finally realized that a seven-foot, 248-pound mammoth was standing right behind him, he was understandably taken aback.

Towns had another all-around game on Sunday against the Utah Jazz. The 23-year-old scored 22 points on 6-of-10 shooting. He also knocked down three three-pointers, grabbed six boards, dished out seven assists, and swatted away three shots. Unfortunately, it was in a losing effort as the Jazz came out on top, 125-111, behind Donovan Mitchell's 29-point performance.
With the defeat, the Wolves are now 24-26 and remain outside the Western Conference Playoffs picture by four games. The good news for Towns and co. is that there is still a lot of time for them to get their act together and battle for a second consecutive postseason run.
