The Brooklyn Nets' Kevin Durant and the Los Angeles Lakers LeBron James aren't enjoying the seasons they expected coming into the season.

Both Durant and James are playing outstanding basketball, but Durant will be out for the next few weeks due to a knee ailment, while James has dealt with his own injury issues. Unfortunately for both of them, their teams have been unable to compensate for their absences, resulting in the Brooklyn Nets and the Los Angeles Lakers playing basketball that no one anticipated them to play this season.

Many people have wondered if both of these individuals are under pressure to win a championship this season since their teams have underperformed.

On Tuesday, ESPN's JJ Redick said this on whether LeBron James or Kevin Durant are under any pressure to win a championship this season:

“I don't think there's pressure on either guy… There is no one that can put more pressure on Kevin, LeBron, me, Chris Paul than themselves.”

JJ Redick is correct in what he's stating. Both of these players are considered to be among the best of all time, with some even claiming that LeBron James is the greatest basketball player of all time. There is also a case to be made that Kevin Durant is the best scorer this league has ever seen, implying that neither of them is under any pressure to win a championship because, for one thing, they both have championships under their belts and have accomplished everything that any NBA player could wish for in their careers.
