The NBA earlier this offseason announced their selections for the various individual awards for the 2017-18 season.
According to Marc J. Spears of The Undefeated, the NBPA is set to announce their choices for many of the same honors for this past campaign.

These awards are expected to be hosted by former Miami Heat All-Star forward Chris Bosh via social media on Friday morning beginning at 11:00 a.m. ET. Each of these winners has been voted on solely by the NBA players during the end of the regular season and did put into consideration what occurred over the playoffs.
A few of the awards that will be handed out include Most Valuable Player, Best Rookie, Best Defender, Best Off The Bench, Hardest to Guard, Best Social Media Follow, and Player You Secretly Wish Was on Your Team just to name a few. There could be several intriguing choices for the various awards given the uniqueness of the categories.
The NBPA is making a keen decision to use social media as their primary platform to reveal the awards given it's huge importance to the league. This could be the start of a new style of presenting awards that could catch on elsewhere in professional sports.
