The Golden State Warriors will need to make a few changes to their lineup with superstar point guard Stephen Curry on the shelf. Steve Kerr already has a solution in mind and it comes in the form of rookie sensation James Wiseman.

No, Wiseman isn't going to be taking on point guard duties sans Steph. However, Kerr confirmed that the 19-year-old is going to be the team's starter the rest of the way:

“I anticipate James (Wiseman) is going to start the rest of the season,” Kerr said, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic.

It was recently confirmed that Curry is expected to be out for at least another week. The former back-to-back MVP winner is dealing with a tailbone injury, and it appears to be concerningly more serious than initially presumed.

Wiseman himself has dealt with multiple injuries in his debut campaign, with his most recent one being a three-game absence after being placed on the league's health and safety protocols. Nonetheless, the Warriors' prized youngster has been cleared to play for Tuesday's tilt against the Philadelphia 76ers, and based on Kerr's comments above, it is clear that Wiseman will play a significant role for the Dubs moving forward.

This is a key development for Wiseman who could just have a go at this season's Rookie of the Year award. It's going to be a tough task for the former University of Memphis standout, but with LaMelo Ball reportedly out for the season, Wiseman could just sneak into the seemingly wide-open ROY race.
