Brooklyn Nets combo guard Spencer Dinwiddie is crowning New Orleans Pelicans rookie Zion Williamson as the 2020 NBA Rookie of the Year.
Williamson has pledged to pay the salaries of all Smoothie King Center workers for the next 30 days as the NBA suspends play:
Welp Zion just won ROY folks

Kevin Love, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Blake Griffin have also donated $100,000 apiece to support arena staff impacted by the postponement of games due to COVID-19.
One of the most immediate concerns after the NBA announced the suspension of the season was how it would impact staff who work game events only. Utah Jazz All-Stars Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell have tested positive for the coronavirus.
The Pelicans continue to be in awe of Zion Williamson. This kid is only 19 but he is so mature for his age, both on and off the court. That's something Spencer Dinwiddie can get behind.
On the court, we've already seen that Williamson is going to dominate the NBA for the next decade or so assuming he stays healthy. Zion is averaging 23.6 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists through his first 19 NBA games.
Article Continues BelowNo one really knows if the 2019-20 NBA season is going to start up again. It's impossible to tell at this point. We will likely have an update within the next 30 days or so.
