The New Orleans Pelicans are having a terrific start after the All-Star break, winning their last four games in decisive fashion. It's a surprising twist for a team pegged to be one of the worst in the league. Brandon Ingram's casual half-court buzzer-beater against the Denver Nuggets on Sunday is indicative of how good the team has been.
With time winding down in the first half, Ingram brought the ball up but was pressured by multiple defenders in the backcourt. After losing the ball momentarily, the Pelicans star chucked it at the general vicinity of the rim. To his and everyone else's surprise, the ball swished through the net, easily becoming a top contender for buzzer-beater of the year.

Ingram and the Pelicans have been having one hell of a start to their post-All Star campaign. After trading for CJ McCollum during the trade deadline, the team surged, beating opponents in record fashion. It remains to be seen if this is sustainable for the Pelicans, but it's encouraging to see them succeed despite missing Zion Williamson.
Can they keep up their winning ways against the Nuggets and reigning league MVP Nikola Jokic? The way things are going for them, they might just pull it off.
