The New Orlean Pelicans have revealed that Brandon Ingram will miss his fifth consecutive game. Ingram has been dealing with a right hip contusion that has kept him out.
The Pelicans are facing off against the Dallas Mavericks. New Orleans is 1-9 on the season. Dallas is an impressive 6-3.
The struggling Pelicans are hoping that they can get Ingram back on the court sometime soon. They're already without Superstar Zion Williamson. Now missing Ingram for an extended period of time would hurt them even more than they already are.

Ingram in six games this season is averaging an impressive 25 points per game. He also is averaging 7.3 rebounds per game and 4.8 assists.
The Pelicans are playing like the worst team in basketball. They're currently tied with the Houston Rockets for the worst record in the NBA. Many of this is because they do not have Zion Williamson. With this Ingram injury, they're going to continue struggling until he's back.
New Orleans season just started but it looks like it already might be over. Their chances at a playoff spot are getting smaller by the day. At this point, it might be in the organization's best interest to completely tank the season and hope that they get the first overall pick. If they are lucky enough to get the first overall pick, maybe they could bring somebody in that would keep Zion happy.
