The season hasn't started yet, but that hasn't stopped Ball from making himself known among the New Orleans youth. The UCLA product surprised a group of kids and their families by organizing a huge present for them.
He offered to buy their school supplies for the coming school year. This is a huge boon to the families picked by Ball as these supplies can cost more than a pretty penny.
The New Orleans Pelicans shared the heart-warming event on their site. Not many words were used to describe the event, but the images snapped during the event showed how happy the families were to receive Ball's kindness.

However, he has to step up on the offensive side of the ball if he wants to have an All-Star career. His shooting clip is at a respectable 45% but his three-point accuracy is at a mediocre 38%. He needs to become a threat from deep in order to become effective, and it seems that he is working on his shot.
It may take a while before Ball lives up to his name and ball out, but the community is already behind his back.
